In June 2024,the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) notified Egor Kuzmin of their preliminary decision suggesting his ineligibility for the Paralympics due to an alleged non-compliance with the established IPC criteria.
At times, an explanation is offered as a mere formality, with the actual decision having been made beforehand. This particular case raised similar concerns. Even so, our legal team have worked to the best of their abilities. In the contest with a foreign company contracted by the IPC, Clever Consult prevailed. Our argument was supported by a range of documents that we gathered, organized and translated into English.
Following a detailed explanation backed up by extensive written evidence, the IPC officials took their time to scrutinize the material but eventually sided with the argument put forth by our legal team.
Our goal has been achieved - Egor has been approved for participation in the main event of the quadrennial!
We are happy to have played a part in helping Egor achieve his desired outcome, and we send him our best wishes for continued success and accomplishments in sports!
